How to book a tour?

To book on one of our tours, you first need to call our office on (02) 4382 2039 and speak to Holly or Scott. To secure your booking, a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of $200 per person is due within 7 days of booking. The balance of the tour is due 60 days before departure.

Please DO NOT send any payment until it has been confirmed by phone that we have availability.

Payment can be made in the following ways: Cheque or Money Order, Visa or Mastercard, Direct remittance. Please contact us for our bank details.

Will I be picked up from my house?

If you are in our pick up zone yes. Otherwise you can meet the shuttle, meet at the airport, meet at the destination or stay at an airport hotel the night before and we will pick you up from there. We can organise a private transfer for you.

Can I bring my mobility aid?

Walking sticks – yes.

Walkers – non battery powered yes.

Walkers – Battery powered, no.

I have dietary requirements, is that an issue?

No this is not an issue. The more complicated the requirements the more self managed we advise passengers to be. Remember you are on a coach tour and often we are in remote areas where ingredients are hard to come by.

If I change my booking will I still get the free shuttle?

No. If you change your booking to depart or return on a different date from the tour you forfeit your free shuttle and either must make your own way or we can organise private transfer at extra cost.

Is there a fee for using my card for tour payments?

There are no fees on deposit payments. 1.7% card fee on all other payments. Diners Club & Amex not accepted.

Can I go on your mailing list?

Yes, we have a postal mailing list for our quarterly brochures. We do not have an online mailing list at present.

I would like to travel as a twin but don’t have a buddy, can you find one for me?

Unfortunately we don’t pair people up for bookings. However we encourage you to ask around your community, a great way to meet new people and find a new travel buddy!

What is the cancellation policy?

NB: Please note our cancellation policy.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Will my phone work whilst I’m away?

Telstra covers most areas (except small island tours) Please check for other phone providers and coverage may vary.

 

Can I bring my CPAP machine?

Yes this is no problem. There will be plugs beside the beds

Coach

Are the steps onto the coach high?

Our coach steps have been specially designed to be lower for ease of access and has the lowest steps of any coach available with hand rails on both sides.

Our coach also kneels to the pavement

Can I charge my phone on the coach?

Yes, all the coach seats have USB charging station.

Does my coach seat recline?

Yes, all the seats recline on our luxury touring coach.

Does the coach have a toilet?

No. But don’t worry! We make regular stops and rarely drive for more than 2 hrs at a time. This allows us to explore at a leisurely pace.

Does your coach kneel to the pavement?

Yes it does

I suffer from travel sickness and need to sit at the front of the coach, is this possible?

All tours run a seat rotation system so everyone gets a turn at being at the front and back of the coach, without exception. Our coach is very spacious with big windows and screens to view out the front. No one has been travel sick yet!

Flights

What is the luggage limit?

Our luggage limit varies by tour but usually 18kgs for mainland tours and 15kgs for island tours.

Do I need a flight refence number to travel?

We handle all aspects of the travel booking for you, a flight reference number is not required. Sit back, relax and let us do all the hard work!

Do I need a flight boarding pass to travel?

Yes, this will be given to you at the airport when you check in with the crew

Can I use my frequent flyer points to make the flight booking?

No, unfortunately you cannot use your frequent flyer points to pay for flights with Aurora Coach Tours. However we are happy to take your frequent flyer number and apply this to your booking so you gain the points.

Can I upgrade to business class?

Yes we can quote this if the route offers, subject to availability.

Can I extend my booking and fly earlier or later?

Yes, we are able to amend bookings so you can extend your stay provided it is with the same airline we use for the tour.

There may be a fare difference in this case.

Can I add my frequent flyer number to the booking?

Yes we can do this for you, it will be applied to the group flight booking. Aurora primarily flies with Virgin and Qantas

Hotels

Are there plugs beside the beds?

Yes, there is always access to a plug next to your bed

Can I book a hotel through you?

Yes, you can extend your stay earlier or later on a tour with the hotel the group stays in. However, we do not book hotels outside of the tour.

Do all accommodations have walk in shower?

For most hotels yes. Occasionally there is a shower over bath, please ask and we can let you know if this is the case

Do I need to bring a hairdryer?

No, this is not necessary. You will find a hairdryer in most hotel rooms. Where you cannot see one, simply call reception or our crew and they will bring one to you.

Do I need to bring a towel?

No this is not necessary although you are welcome to bring one if you wish. Towels are provided at all accommodations.

Tours

Are meals included?

Yes, most of our tours include meals. The specific details regarding meals will be provided in the tour itinerary. Please check the tour description for more information.

Can I extend my booking and fly earlier or later?

What are the tour destinations?

We offer a wide range of tour destinations, including scenic locations, historical landmarks, and cultural attractions. Visit our website to explore our current tour offerings.

What clothes shall I bring?

Northern tours: open & closed shoes, comfy light clothing, hat and sunscreen, light jacket / jumper for evenings, swim ware. Southern tours: clothes for all weather inc cold and rain.
