Our tours are welcome for anybody to join. If you live outside the above areas you can make your own way to Sydney Airport and we will meet you there.

Day 1

Journey from Sydney to Cairns

Scott and our home pickup service will transfer you to Sydney Airport for your flight to Cairns. On arrival, our coach will be waiting to welcome you and take you to Rydges Esplanade Cairns. (1 night)

Day 2

Cairns, Port Douglas & Cooktown

Today we board our 4WD vehicle and our adventure begins. Travelling north along the scenic Captain Cook Highway, through the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef. Then making our way along the jungle shrouded Bloomfield Track (road conditions permitting), stopping off at the unique Lion’s Den Hotel, and the mysterious Black Mountain, arriving at the old gold port of Cooktown. Day 3

Cooktown

We explore Cooktown today. We’ll visit Captain Cooks Landing and spend some time at the museum to learn more about the arrival of Captain Cook and the local indigenous people in the area. In the afternoon, we go to the Botanic Gardens before heading up Grassy Hill lookout for some spectacular views.

Day 4

Lakefield National Park and Musgrave

Heading west into the outback to explore Lakefield National Park, a haven for the many birds and animals native to this area. Lagoons, billabongs, and wide river lakes are home to both fresh and saltwater crocodiles. The afternoon finds us arriving at Musgrave for our overnight accommodation at The Old Musgrave Telegraph Station. (1 night)

Day 5

Journey to Weipa

Today we continue north stopping off at the historic frontier gold town of Coen and the picturesque Archer River, before making our way to the bauxite-mining town of Weipa. Enjoy the spectacular sunset over the Gulf of Carpentaria. The Albatross Resort (1 night)

Day 6

Wenlock River & Bramwell Station

This morning we join the Weipa Wildlife & Eco Cruise. After lunch, we head to former ‘true blue’ Aussie cattle station, Bramwell Station. (1 night)

Day 7

Journey to Cape York

We head north travelling along part of the Old Telegraph Track to arrive at Fruit Bat Falls for lunch. Relax, swim, and enjoy this unique area with its enchanting waterfall. Then northwards across the Jardine River, to arrive at Cape York! Cape York Peninsula Lodge (2 nights)

Day 8

Cape York & Somerset

An unforgettable day! Stand at the very top of mainland Australia. We then visit Somerset, once the home of the legendary Jardine family. We have lunch on palm fringed Anchorage Beach which overlooks the Albany Passage. A walk on the beach completes your day before returning to our accommodation.

Day 9

Thursday Island & Horn Island

This morning we cruise through island studded straits to explore our northern community, Thursday Island. Here you will be taken on an informative guided bus tour of the island and its picturesque Harbour, once home to the romantic pearl lugger fleet. Ferry transfer to Horn Island. “Horn Island In Their Steps” Tour will round off our day. Gateway Resort (1 night)

Day 10

Journey home to Sydney

We journey back from Horn Island to Sydney where Scott will be waiting to welcome you, and ensure a comfortable journey home.

How to book a tour?

To book on one of our tours, you first need to call our office on (02) 4382 2039 and speak to Holly or Scott. To secure your booking, a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of $200 per person is due within 7 days of booking. The balance of the tour is due 60 days before departure.

Please DO NOT send any payment until it has been confirmed by phone that we have availability.

Payment can be made in the following ways: Cheque or Money Order, Visa or Mastercard, Direct remittance. Please contact us for our bank details.
